THE COMPANY
FIBRAEX is a Brazilian company located in the industrial center of sisal, in Conceição do Coité, Bahia, Brazil.
Our main activity consists of processing sisal fiber, making it suitable for industrial use as a production input.
The company was founded in 1999 but our history started a long time ago. The founder of FIBRAEX, Mr. José Hamilton Passos de Araújo, started working in the sisal industry in 1979 and since then he has been contributing with the experience acquired over the years to meet the demands of the global market.

OUR PRODUCTS
Type 1 DB Sisal Fiber
Fiber with whitish cream color, well brushed and maximum impurity of 1%. Exported in marine containers, closed cargo, in bales of 250kg or 100kg.
Type 2 DB Sisal Fiber
Fiber with yellowish cream color, well brushed and maximum impurity of 3%. Exported in marine containers, closed cargo, in bales of 250kg or 100kg.
Type 3 DB Sisal Fiber
Fiber with yellowish cream color, well brushed and maximum impurity of 5%. Exported in marine containers, closed cargo, in bales of 250kg or 100kg.
Type 4 Sisal Fiber
Fiber with brown and green coloring and high percentage of impurities. Exported in marine containers, closed cargo, in bales of 250kg or 100kg.
Rejected
Fiber with yellowish cream color, well brushed and maximum impurity of 5%. Exported in marine containers, closed cargo, in bales of 250kg or 100kg.
MAIN APPLICATIONS OF SISAL FIBER
It is the sector with the greatest application of sisal fiber. Rope encompasses series of products such as barbates, wires, cordage for packaging and ropes.
Agricultural yarns, in particular Baler Twine, is the product in which sisal fiber is most relevant. Baler Twine is used for tying hay and cereal bales.
The sisal tapestry has had a significant demand in the sisal industry in recent years, much of it due to the ecological appeal in developed countries.
Mainly used in the manufacture of high-strength papers and thin papers.
Products derived from sisal, such as loofah, are used in this area for polishing ceramic tiles and plaster ceilings.
It has also been applied to structural composites mainly due to the strength of the fiber.
Used for the manufacture of various decorative items.
The demand for sisal fiber for the manufacture of blankets applied to the soil has grown. They are used as slow releases of fertilizers and pesticides.
Also used as a subfloor on roads to separate layers of different materials.
